Beauty & the Education was created to support, inspire, and elevate beauty professionals at every stage of their career. Designed as an continued education space, our mission is to provide high-quality, accessible in-person learning that goes beyond technique- focusing on confidence, career growth, and real-world business education. Through hands-on classes, workshops and industry-lead education, we offer a supportive environment where artists can expand their skills, sharpen their knowledge, and build sustainable, successful careers in the beauty industry.
Shayla Naamani
Founder, Salon Owner, Business Coach
Shayla is the founder of Beauty and the Education, an continued learning center dedicated to providing practical, skill-driven education for beauty professionals beyond licensure.
A licensed cosmetologist of 11 years, Shayla has spent over a decade working behind the chair while building a career rooted in service excellence and leadership. She is the owner of Freya Beauty Salon, which she has owned and operated since 2020, and a bridal artist with over 15 years of experience, specializing in elevated, client-focused services in high-pressure environments.
With a business degree in marketing and extensive experience in management and leadership roles, Shayla brings a rare balance of artistry and strategy to her work. Throughout her career, she has mentored numerous beauty professionals in areas such as branding, client experience, pricing, communication, and long-term career development.
These experiences revealed a consistent gap in continuing education—education that goes beyond inspiration and provides real, applicable tools professionals can use immediately. Beauty and the Education was created to fill that gap.
As Lead Educator for business and professional development, Shayla teaches from a foundation of real-world leadership, service-based insight, and strategic thinking, combining formal business education with hands-on industry experience. Her approach emphasizes sustainability, clarity, and building careers that last.
Beauty and the Education reflects Shayla’s belief that strong artistry deserves strong structure—and that education should empower beauty professionals to grow creatively while building financially sustainable careers.

Kim has over 8 years of experience behind the chair in many different settings as well as a previous educator for Oligo. Kim is truly passionate about hair theory and the science behind hair, products and techniques. She specializes in curly cuts, styling and blonding.
